MILITARY ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

A student interested in applying for acceptance into a military academy or a ROTC scholarship needs to begin the process early in their junior year. A score of 27 or better is needed on the ACT to qualify along with many other requirements. Contact the counselor for more specific requirements.

A student will need to complete the ASVAB military entrance test before they will be able to sign with a specific branch.  Students are encouraged to take the ASVAB when it is offered at the high school.  The students score is compared with other high school students verses all persons taking the test.  The high school test is given as a paper-pencil test.  The Sioux Falls test at MEPS is a computer generated test.  There is no cost for this test.
