Step One: Apply for a PIN number
- Each student will need their own personal pin number to be
able to apply for financial aid. Their parent/guardian
will also need to get a pin number. Parents/guardians
will have only one pin number for all their children.
- Retrieving your pin electronically: Your PIN
will be available for online delivery for 14 days from the
date we sent the e-mail containing the link to our secure PIN
delivery Web site. If you do not respond, we will send your
PIN in the mail. You may also use the PIN Web site to find
information on how to submit a new electronic PIN request.
- How long does it generally take to get your PIN
number? It will take up to 4 hours after you request
your PIN for you to receive an e-mail notification with
instructions on how to retrieve it electronically, or 7-10
days to receive it in the mail via the U.S. Postal Service.

Step Two: Fill out the FASFA (Free Application for
Federal Student Aid)
- FASFA Application
- It will take 3-7 days to process your application and send
you a Student Aid Report (SAR)
